Hear that beat?

When you wake in the morning, as you wipe away the sleepies and prepare to make another day awesome….what’s playing in your mind? Is it Vivaldi’s Spring, the William Tell overture (we all know as that “Morning Song”)? Maybe some days it’s “Walking on Sunshine” – and others the Darth Vader theme.

From time to time it may be this classic that perfectly summarizes your sense of overwhelm… :/

Although it may change from time to time, it’s important to remember, the song of our life and our business is one of our choosing.

So, choose wisely. Work each day like a song, in bars and beats…knowing that there is something magical in rhythm. (Ah… Rhythm. It makes everything easier and far more beautiful.)

How, you may ask?

First, we must realize that we are in total control. The conductor and the composer. You get to choose the rhythm, the tempo, the instruments and the tone…the lyrics and the feeling. Alt-Rock or Jazz…Classical or House; how it begins, how it ends, and importantly…what gets left out. Try singing two songs at once. Or singing one while another plays on the radio, full blast. Yikes! We can only focus on one song at a time, or it muddles our rhythm and drowns out the sounds we love most.

What’s the song for you today? Is it happy, does it make you feel AWESOME? Energized? Inspired? Like you can do anything you set your mind to?
