Cultivating Resilience in Business, Work and Life
At some point in our lives or our work, we are faced with crisis, loss, a need or strong desire to make a significant shift. At this point, we have the choice to sink or swim. Research has shown that it is the quality of ‘resilience’ that not only helps us cope during difficult transitions, but to really thrive. In her talk, Lianne Bridges will discuss the important role resilience plays in helping us reinvent ourselves and our businesses. She will discuss the core characteristics of resilience and how to best cultivate these characteristics in our day-to-day lives.
A WE² bit about Lianne:
Lianne’s work draws upon both her personal and professional experiences. Many would describe her as resilient. In the span of a few short years, she lost her husband, and both of her parents. At the same time, she experienced significant losses in investments and her consulting business, as a result of the 2008 financial crisis. At the age of 46, alone with two small children to raise, she closed her company and began the journey of rediscovering and reinventing herself. In 2010, she founded Designing Transformation Productions, which helps individuals, entrepreneurs and organizations align with their highest purpose so they may maximize their true potential and realize their greatest impact. Today, Lianne’s happier, healthier and more prosperous than she’s ever been, refired with passion and purpose in her life and work.
